The Monaco Yacht Show 2022 – A preview of what’s to come

September 21,2022

As summer draws to a close, preparations have already begun for the much-anticipated yachting event of the year. The Monaco Yacht Show 2022 is expected to be better than ever, maintaining its prestige and elegance of the past whilst elevating it for the modern era and the new generation of yacht enthusiasts.

This year’s Monaco Yacht Show will take place from Wednesday 28th September – Saturday 1st October at the iconic Port Hercule.  Now in its third decade, the focus of the yacht show is shifting towards the future of superyachts, yet still remaining true to its legacy of luxury. This year it aims to concentrate on the attraction and allure of the yachting industry whilst simultaneously opening-up the industry for those who although may be inexperienced, are eager to embark on their first steps into this pleasure-seeking world of superyachts. The Monaco Yacht Show team has coined the word ‘seducation’ – seduction and education in order to encompass the two essential concepts that mark this year’s event.

2022 will see the introduction of three new themed exhibitions in order to entice this new target clientele: the Sustainability Hub, the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub and the Adventure Area.

At the Yacht Design and Innovation Hub future clients can watch an array of presentations and meet some of the top designers and creators in the industry, allowing them to hear first-hand insights into future trends, new innovations, and design projects.

The Sustainability Hub embodies this generation’s desire to do better by its planet. This area is dedicated to the research and development of improving sustainability in the yachting industry. Since 2005, the Monaco Yacht Show has taken a pro-environmental approach in cooperation with the government of Monaco and the Informa group, supporting various foundations such as the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Blue Marine Foundation and the Water Revolution Foundation.

The Adventure Area is a new exhibition for 2022 that has the aim of making your next yachting experience a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Here you can find the highest tech equipment, sea toys, and luxury vehicles that enable you to visit some of the most extraordinary and exclusive destinations on earth.

Monaco yacht show stands

This year we are excited to announce that we will have a stand at Jetée Lucciana (JL2). Head over to us to talk with our expert team to get started on arranging your next luxury charter experience or buying that superyacht you’ve always dreamed of owning.

As expected, the Monaco Yacht Show will see a spectacular lineup of some of the greatest yachts on the seas. Ones which are not to be missed are the 85.65m B2, which has just had a four-million-euro refit with a whole new interior. Her seven-metre extension that was done in 2020 allowed for the creation of a stunning glass-bottom swimming pool right across the main deck.

Another beautiful yacht worth checking out is SOLO, 72m. SOLO is the perfect boat for those seeking adventure, as she has a range of 9,100 nautical miles, as well as a touch-and-go helipad and a seven-metre infinity pool.

Another exciting element of the Monaco Yacht Show not to be overlooked is the vast array of sailing yachts on display. TWIZZLE, 57.5m, is one of the most advanced sailing yachts to be created. She has 1,780 square metres of sail and two custom-built carbon fibre mast and roll-away carbon booms, allowing for a fast and smooth sail hoist, as both the main and mizzen sails can be hoisted simultaneously in less than 2 minutes.

Several luxury catamarans are also being exhibited such as the 80 SUNREEF ECO, 24m; this vessel is the world’s most sustainable luxury catamaran thanks to an innovative, high-tech design. It’s fuel-free cruising in total silence helps adapt this boat fur the future of more responsible yachting.

There’s a lot to look forward to in this year’s Monaco Yacht Show and it is certainly one not to be missed, promising to be the highlight of the yachting year!
