PALMILLA is a 73-metre concept yacht designed by Josh Rodriguez of Rodriguez Design. The yacht has been designed with a full displacement hull whilst the superstructure of the vessel is made of aluminium reducing weight and lowering the centre of gravity of the yacht. These changes mean PALMILLA is capable of reaching 18 knots and has a range of over 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots. She is powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M63L with a total power output of 5250 HP.

The front of the yacht appears smooth and seamless with sweeping curves creating a more traditional look. This creates contrast to the rear of the yacht which is more angular, aggressive and more of a modern twist on traditional yacht design. This juxtaposition illustrates how yacht design has changed over time and provides a testament to the best of both eras of design. In the words of PALMILLA designer Josh Rodriguez “We like our clients to see the design change as they move around the yacht. The yacht should feel alive, and it should move with the guests. This dynamic approach allows the yacht to withstand the test of time and keep itself fresh through the years.”
PALMILLA's design is spread across five decks. Starting with the lowest deck which features a large beach club, spacious tender garage, and 4 of the guest cabins on board. Each guest cabin is exquisitely designed and beautifully adorned creating complete comfort for all guests.
Moving up a deck we find the aft social area which is comprised of a large swimming pool as well as expansive sun pads; perfect for relaxing whilst at anchor or underway. On this second deck, we also find the 2 VIP cabins which are larger and more luxurious than the previous 4 guest cabins. Each VIP cabin is equipped with a large ensuite as well as a large desk and dedicated dressing area. The main saloon is also found on this deck. Spacious and versatile the main saloon provides the perfect area for guests to relax inside as well as dine at the 14 seater custom dining table.
The third deck is host to one of the most frequently used areas of the yacht. The area is comprised of a large living space with loose furniture and expansive sofas. This area is so appealing to guests as it's designed to be versatile and comfortable for a range of activities. This deck has wide external walkways which lead toward the bow section of PALMILLA where guests will find twin sun pads and a commercially certified touch and go helipad large enough to accommodate an Airbus ACH 145 helicopter.
The 4th deck is known as the owner's deck as it is where the owner will spend the majority of their time onboard. It comes with its own dedicated aft deck outdoor space only accessible throughout the interior. Remarkably this Aft deck space is equipped with its own large swimming pool for owners use exclusively meaning the owner's deck acts as an apartment within the yacht, providing perfect privacy and comfort. Forwards of the owner’s deck we find the wheelhouse with a Portuguese bridge configuration, with a long seating area for guests to enjoy during crossings.
Finally, moving up the last deck of this yacht, we reach the sun deck. This deck is host to a range of features such as a Jacuzzi in which guests can admire the views in perfect relaxation. For those that like to exercise with a view, there is also a range of removable gym equipment. In the centre of the sun deck a closed-off space is found which can be transformed into a cigar lounge with a veiw, pefect for guests to sit and admire the sunset with a glass of scotch.
