From November 3rd -7th 2016, Fort Lauderdale, Florida will host the 57th edition of the International Boat Show, the largest in-water boat show on the planet
Fort Lauderdale is known as the yachting capital of the world and this year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever with 3 million square feet of exhibit space on land and water, and over $4 billion worth of yachts, toys and luxury accessories on display during the week.
Several superyachts will be premiering during the show including the 69 meter Tankoa superyacht Suerte, notable for her private beach club and touch-and-go helipad which transforms into a disco for after-hours partying. Also making her US debut this year is Eleonora III, a 40 meter Sport Hybrid yacht from Columbus Yachts. Her owner requested a ‘green’ boat from the design team and she was built with non-toxic and Forestry Commission certified materials wherever possible. The show will also feature a prominent new exhibit for 2016, the American Pavilion which will showcase 40 major US companies from within the superyacht industry.
To create an optimum experience for show guests the organizers have put together a VIP experience centered around the Windward Club. Limited to only 300 visitors per day, the prestigious Windward package includes private dining and lounge areas offering a premium bar and gourmet food, a dedicated concierge service to arrange yacht tours for you and your guests and invitations to exclusive after-hours events and networking opportunities.
As always during show week there will be many glamorous evening functions and parties held in and around Fort Lauderdale to allow you to meet with other owners and guests. Events not to be missed this year include a spectacular fireworks display on opening night and a state-of-the-art video mapping presentation at Bahia Mar Marina with an incredible 3D marine life projection. Cocktail parties will be hosted in each of the 6 pavilions throughout the week and the new Aft Deck VIP lounge will be the place to grab a drink and relax away from the crowds.
During your visit to this year’s show you will be able to discover the world’s best yacht builders and designers, luxury goods and supercar manufacturers and yacht toy companies all within a beautiful Florida setting. With so much on offer for superyacht enthusiasts, Fort Lauderdale is exactly where you want to be this November.
