About YAMAKAY

A magnificent 42m three-masted schooner, YAMAKAY was designed with serious cruising in mind. Custom-built by French shipyard CMN in 1993, she is a stunning replica of the 1972 transatlantic racing yacht Vendredi 13. Fully MCA compliant, YAMAKAY underwent a complete refit in 2005 followed by a second refit and repaint in 2014. Fast and powerful with a timeless elegance all of her own, this eye-catching sailing yacht is a true classic.

Performance

A schooner sailboat with a Volvo 293hp engine, YAMAKAY is a high-performance vessel of the very best pedigree. With a cruising speed of 10 knots and an impressive top speed of 16 knots, she never fails to impress when she’s out on the water.

Guest Capacity

Capable of welcoming 8-10 guests overnight, YAMAKAY’s 4 generously-sized cabins are located on the lower deck. Each of the cabins has ensuite bathroom facilities plus entertainment systems with access to a fully-stocked movie server.

The luxurious full-beam master stateroom is a sleek modern space with cool, clean lines and gentle curves. Slate-grey accent walls are paired with light wooden panelling and contemporary lighting to create a sophisticated place to relax. Equipped with a king-size bed, the master stateroom also features a seating area plus a private office.

Ideal for family groups, YAMAKAY has 3 guest staterooms including 2 VIP cabins and 1 cabin with bunk beds for younger guests. The queen-size beds in the VIP cabins can be converted to twin beds and both cabins also feature an additional Pullman berth.

Yamaka also has onboard accommodation for 4 crew members.

Interior

Created by Couëdel Hugon Design, YAMAKAY’s interior is chic, contemporary and ideal for entertaining.

Spacious and inviting, YAMAKAY’s interior design has a modern aesthetic with a muted colour scheme and lots of natural light. Stainless steel and glass are paired with rich wood and leather furnishings to create a strong impact as you step inside the yacht.

Fully refitted in 2014, the living space features a split-level open-plan saloon and dining area. The formal dining room is on the upper level and overlooks a cosy lounge with a seating area plus a state-of-the-art entertainment system.

Exterior

With exterior design by naval architect Mark Lambard, YAMAKAY has vast deck spaces in keeping with her identity as a high-performance sailing yacht.

On the foredeck, an open seating area can be used as an outdoor lounge or converted into 2 large sun pads for relaxing.

On the aft deck, a large shaded seating area offers unbeatable ocean views while dining al fresco. Steps lead from the dual helms to the transom below for easy access to the water when swimming or using the toys.

Water Toys and Tenders

YAMAKAY has an exciting range of toys onboard including a paddle board, inflatable doughnut, wakeboards, water skis and fishing gear.
